SOFTBALL FANS BATTING FIRST

St. Louis, November 1, 2014

Today, online retailer Concourse Sports announced the acquisition of Softball Fans in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Outdoor sporting goods (camping, fishing, hunting, etc.) have long been the forte of St. Louis based Concourse Sports, but with the addition of Softball Fans, they have aggressively jumped into the team sports retail arena with both feet and are excited to be doing so.

Since 2004, Softball Fans has been one of the most trusted sources for the best name-brand equipment, apparel, and footwear. While some changes are in the pipeline, such as a re-vamped retail website, other softball resources such as customer bat reviews and the ever popular “Forum” will always have their place at Softball Fans.

In addition to an updated retail website, they will continue to operate their 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art indoor training facility in Kalamazoo that includes 15 batting cages and a professional turf field available for tournaments and team rental. It all makes perfect sense.  According to Softball Fans Manager Chad Johnson, “Long, cold Michigan winters make this indoor facility a wonderful option – sometimes the only option for year-round training.”

As Concourse Sports expands, the customer service experience is still given the utmost attention. At Softball Fans everybody on staff plays the game and knows the products as well as they know their customers.  “With different associations having different rules… it can be confusing. We pride ourselves on knowing the answers to all of your pertinent questions and leaving you satisfied with your experience,” says Softball Fans Manager Lexi Huizar.

With American’s spending over 590 million dollars on baseball and softball equipment each of the last three years, it’s no surprise why Concourse Sports brought Softball Fans into their family of brands.
